What shooting sticks/bipod do you prefer? I have always used Harris bipods but they do add quite a bit of weight.

Harris is what i use as well. No complaints with them other than the weight!!

Mine are made by stoney point. They came with a sleeve to carry them on your belt.

I prefer to carry sticks, the Stoney Point Bipod works very well for me and my little girl, it adjusts for both of us.

i use harris on my rifle but for my family i don't like them to carry extra weight so i carry the stonypoints for them the big one that are for sitting knees or standing they are great

I don't like the Harris. Added weight and bulk. I like the ones that you can carry around. I use to have a great pair that were tuff and i actually used as a walking stick. THey were always at the ready.

I learned a while ago that they will get in your way more often than not. I started using Predator Sniper Styx and have not had the desire to put a bi-pod back on. It does take a bit of getting used to after a bi-pod. It takes a bit of field use to get the hang of it. However, once you are used to them, swinging on something that sneaks in from the off side is much easier with sticks.

As you can see, they are completely configurable to what you want/need. Start with a basic pair, and if you need extra length or a third leg, just give em a call.

Harris. Eastide only...

My harris didn't seem to add too much weight, but for westside-forget it, too brushy...

I also have a bunch of homemade stuff I drag around in the rig for the kids, or for predator hunting, but it seems that we either forget them in the truck, or other reasons why we don't use them.

My daughter used the Stoney Pointe rapid pivot bipod this year and we really like it. I like the fact that it's not attached to the gun except when you need it.

I've tried a few things. I don't like having to cary a set of sticks in one hand and a gun in the other. Most of the bi-pods that are attached to a gun are heavy and bulky. But, as I get older I know I need something to steady my shot.
I'd like a simple, light-weight, single stick that loosely attaches to the gun but can be removed quickly. If I have to spend more than a few seconds to set it up it's worthless as far as I'm concerned. I'm open to suggestions.
I was thinking about using a light-weight ski pole that could serve a dual purpose. Steadying me as I walk through the woods but with a simple, rubber coated yolk attached to the handle it to steady the rifle. Anyone ever see one?

Stoney Point shooten sticks. I really like them. I have a pair for me and a pair for the wife!
