Sedro Woolley area....are you from around here shannon?   Great waterfowl hunting in the northwest the last couple of weeks...I have been able to take 12 snow geese, 4 canadians, and about 50 ducks the last 2 weeks....Happy hunting everyone...Justin

I am from Burlington. I wish I could say I was as good a duck hunter as I am deer hunter but that is not the case. Lack of experience. I have access to some private farm land around me and have had some success. If you could get a limit of pintail's my success would be a lot higher. I am not the greatest shotgun shot out there (stock hunting rifle I would take my chances against anyone though) but shooting them at 300 yards would not be as fun. Shooting from my back in a lay out blind has taken some getting use too. It's my first year trying that. I have mostly been going out in the afternoon by myself since I have been swamped with work but I should have some employees  back from vacation and the holiday's being over I will get more time out. The forecast shows good duck weather for the next few days so try to save some for the rest of us. Have fun!

James, How is the sleep going? Don't worry it gets better around 10 weeks.

James,
Welcome to my world. Try having a 3 year old and a 3 week old at the same time. It will get better. My boy comes along sometimes but good duck weather is not good 3 year old weather. Another year or two he will be easier to get out I think. Let me know when you want to go out and I will make it. I think you do shift work so if you want to go out during the week I could get away with a little planning also. Let me know. A corn/grass field off of Burmaster had about 1000 greenies in it this morning. No access though. Oh well. They weren't there two days ago so they are moving around a bit. Let me know when you want to go.
