I recently bought three cameras, two BTCs and one Reconyx RC60HO. I wanted to do a comparison and see how the BTC stacks up against the Reconyx. IMO, for the money the BTC is a nice camera. I like the night photos better than the Reconyx. Although the day photos have more resolution I do not care for the red tinge in the photo. Photoshop will take care of that though. The camera is fast which is nice on game trails. The size of it is probably what I like best. Its compact size makes it easy to conceal plus packing it to and fro is nice also. If you decide to get one I highly recommend getting the Bear box for it too. My first image was a bear that did not like the camera mounted on a stump and tried to do it in. The box saved the day, or cam I should say.

As for components and build quality you get what you pay for. When I first got the BTC the switch used for settings and arming the camera was tight. It was easy to feel when the switch was moved from the off position to the settings position (middle). After using these cameras for a month the switch is much looser now and not quite as easy to feel when the switch is moved to the middle position.
When I bought the cameras I was told that after the 2 year warranty expires should the BTC require fixing it may or may not worth it. In which case I was told to consider it a throw away camera.
Still, all said I think it's worth the modest price as these little cameras have their niche and a couple of them will always be in my bag.
