i grew up right next to the desert unit and drew the tag in 2004 and still ended up not taking a real giant buck out of there, big bucks are not easy to come by in the desert unit but they are there(missed a 190+ typical)

things aren't looking good for sidedrifter! unless he can find a good buck in the next 2 days, he's coming home with a DESERT TAG. I'm sure he's a little frustrated this year, since he came home from Alberta with his tag as well!!!!

Heard of lots of bucks shot, seen a few. Sounds like all good solid bucks for the most part so far. Have not heard of any "Monsters" though.

No monster but this is the buck that I took out of Desert A this year.  Posted him about  week ago.  Taxidermist scored him at 167 and 6/8

Thanks.

My biggest worry with that tag was shooting too early vs. passing on a buck that I would regret.

Very happy with this guy.

Hachhooo*censored*......there isn't even a hunter that can count that high :chuckle: Run out of fingers and toes at 20, maybe a few of us have 6 fingers and toes but that's still only 24.

Sorry Phool, couldn't resist.   :chuckle:
