chowder ridge goat tag
« on: January 03, 2008, 06:34:04 PM »
Does anybody know the guy who had the chowder ridge goat tag.  I was wondering if he tagged out.  A friend and I watch those goats on a regular basis and once while watching my friend talked to the guy and even helped him locate a nice goat.  He was planning on going up the next day, but I heard someone saw him up in the area about a month later still looking.

i think on this site we have heard from exactly one goat tag holder and it was a bumping tag if i remember correctly. the tag was filled. thats all i've heard of on this site. no sheep hunters at all and a couple moose tag holders.
i saw a clem sheep on another website, but thats it.

I have no info on results but  I'd like to see what those two Hunters got on Baker especially after seeing some of the  Billys that I've seen up there over the yrs.

He Bear.  I haven't heard anything about that Chowder tag either.  Did you hear anything on the Avalanche Gorge tag???  I was talking to Rick L. a while back and said that he'd found one poached on top of Church opening weekend.   Didn't take any meat or even the cape.  Just cut the head off at the neck!!!!  What a shame.  He talked to the Game Warden, but I don't think anything bacame of it.  Real shame considering there probably are not more than a half dozen goats up there.
