« on: November 09, 2009, 01:02:58 PM »
Well i just ordered a scope for my remington 700 sendero and am getting ready to go shoot it   :IBCOOL:. but before i went out and spent a whole bunch of money on different ammo i was wondering what ammo your .300RUM sendero shoots the best? Any help would be great. Thanks,

I like to shoot 180 grain scciroco bonded remington. The shoot great and I have killed sheep to brown bears with them. What scope did you buy to put on it?
work hard and reap the reward or dont and get left behind!!!

The 180 scirocco bondeds also shoot great out of my sendero 300 rum, however are very expensive!  I would work up a load if you have the stuff to do so. :twocents:

Factory guns are twisted for middle weight bullets for caliber.  Start there.  I have loaded for two different 300rums one factory Rem, and the other a Custom with a Lilja.  Both shoot 180's the best regardless of type.  Personally any 180 excluding the Ballistic Tip is more then enough for Black Bears to Elk and on down.

That is the same ammo my dad shoots out of his .300RUM.  I put on a cheap pentax gameseeker scope. It got good reviews, and for the price, i couldnt pass it up. I wanted to put a scope on it now so i could start shooting it while i'm saving up for a nice zeiss, or leupold.

okay i'll look into that. Looks to be a little more coin for the 5-20 power huskemaw scope, but i'm saving up for a very high quality scope to outfit this gun the right way. so i'll take a look. Thanks joebear
