Back from Montana...
« on: November 09, 2009, 07:45:06 PM »
with a little buck :bash: :chuckle: :bash: :chuckle:. All in all it was a great fun trip, I couldn't spend too much time hunting due to school :bash:. But I ended up shooting this 3x4 on sunday. Not much of a story on him, I crawled up into the saddle that I had seen 9 bucks in the day before (couldn't shoot due to 50-70mph winds). And this buck and 2 more 2x2's and about 15 does were bedded down in the field. The buck was facing away from me and after waiting for 15 minutes I decieded to wistle at them to get them to stand up (the wind was picking up). He got up and trotted up the hill and after he cleared all of the does I figured he was about 300-325 yards out (rangefinder broke) :bash:. So I let him have it, he dropped at the shot because I broke his back. Then he got up using his front legs to crawl, after a few more shots he was done :bash:.

He's not a giant, just a good eating buck.

Good looking buck
Man dont say " nothing special"  every time you put your tag on any animal thank someone , the man upstairs or whatever.
Good eating and a tag filled..
Every time my other half tags an animal or is with me when i do she thanks it for giving it's life for us, remember to do that..
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Good deal. As long as you had a good hunt, and shared the photo journey with us. You should've just told your teachers to deal with it and you'd be gone for a week. That's what I did. But maybe that's the difference in college and high school. Planning on being gone all next week. What school do you go to?
