Pinned Ramp sight

What is a Pinned Ramp site. The Smith 629 mountain's got one. Does it mean it can be replaced with a different kind of front site? Others appear integral, permanent.

yes they are replaceable. I have them for 25, 50, 100 and 150yds....all differ in height. they are simple to swap out with no tools needed.

For the amount of business they do they should upgrade their site. There are never pictures of what I want and I find it clumbsy. It doesn't really look professional. I've still got a link but I never shop there. If they've got it I'll find it I guess. THanks
