Outfitter
« on: January 05, 2008, 10:51:20 AM »
My dad and I are trying to plan a trip out of state to elk hunt and want to do the outfitter thing. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a guide or tell me what to look for . I am thinking about Idaho or Montana. Thanks

Depends on a lot of things.

How much are you willing to spend?

What are you looking for as far as animals go?

Is it Archery or rifle?

What kind of physical shape are you in and what can you physiacally do. You might want a ranch hunt over a wilderness pack in?

I took a customer to Montana and had a great hunt.  I didn't fill my tag but my customer filled his deer and elk tag.  We only hunted 4.5 days.  I had a memorable experience and would recommend this guide.  We were on fresh horses daily.

Look up Snowy Springs Outfitters in Montana.  Shawn and Capri Little are the owners.  You'll want Shawn to be your guide.  You will need to call and speak to his wife Capri to get the rates and work something out.  I plan on hunting with them again in the future.

Their place is on Glacier Park and you hunt in that area.  It's a great place.
