Got New Tires
« on: November 14, 2009, 01:51:11 PM »
Hit a pothole and came out with a deep cut in the sidewall of a front tire. Even though the tires had good tread life left, this meant a new set.
I have run many brands of tires but like the Bridgestone Duelers as they have performed under all conditions.
A little time on the computer to make sure I was getting a top rated tire revealed another improvement in the Dueler. the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 2(Wonder how many more words they can add to that name). Further looking showed the LT version had significantly deeper tread with an anti chipping/tearing compound.
My old tires weren't worn out but on the way home I noticed quite a difference. Quieter, a little more responsive, increased braking sensitivity
Bad part is even with a price break they were spendy.

there is an article in todays paper that says tire prices to increase 5-10% soon. seems that no one was spending money on tires the last couple of years and now demand is very high

Another 10%, these were already nearly double of a few years ago. No wonder I hear of reviews for recaps. Just not for me.
