Bets way to value guns to sell / web site ?
« on: November 19, 2009, 01:15:28 PM »
I inherited a number of guns from my father, most of which duplicate my collection. Is there a better web site to get the value of used guns ? Also I was thinking if there are gun dealers on here I can PM a list. Going to figure out values and post for sale. Thanks for any info. Mike

To get the true valuation you will need an experienced dealer to see the firearms to assess condition.
I dont know any down your way but im sure someone on here will.

the best thing you can do IMO is search them on a few different websites and see what they are selling for...

gunbroker.com
gunsamerica.com
24hourcampfire.com

to name a few.

there's also specialized sites out there for different brands.

Web sites give a good general idea, just remember condition is important and opinions can vary on what condition a firearm is in..
Sellers always think its in better than what buyers think..

Thanks for the info, I checked some prices online and called a local gun shop. Still would not mind a gun dealer PMing me to get advice. None are antiques, just good guns for hunting. Thanks again. Mike
