I'm such an idiot! I take Friday off work for one last try at the so elusive blacktail buck. Get everything ready to go Thursday night to hunt Winters mountain south of Riffe, can barley sleep I'm so excited. I get up at 3:30 am to leave from Vantucky, drive all the way up I-5 to the hwy 12 exit excited as hell then realize that I forgot to exchange my .375 H&H pre 64 model 70 wildcat rifle for my 30-06 and have to drive ALL THE WAY HOME to get a gun I actually have ammo for! Wasted the entire day driving pretty much! I'm such a moron. I ended up back to the hunting area around 11:00 and did not see squat other than a few other hunters. Anyone else hunt the Winston area this year?

Oh yea and to all you hunters that missed this year don't feel too bad, at least you had a gun with ammo in it!

That, plus you posted the same story twice.   It's just not your week.   Don't worry, deer hunting season is only another 10 months away.   As my dad would always say though, "I'm laughing with you, not at you".

Yep Bear, not my week at all! I cannot figure out how to delete the other topic either! 1st time I post a topic on here about what an idiot I am and I even manage to screw that up!
