This is a King Eider that ran into our mast while longling for Cod in the Bering Sea.

Eider >:(

 :chuckle:

You have a real trophy there.  Hunts for those are $3,000+ and its hit and miss.  That is truly the trophy bird of North America.  Some of the hardest birds to hunt for sure!

Thank you for telling me the correct spelling, I really appreciate it so that I dont make a fool of myself in the future. Thank you---BugaBoo

P.S. Is it really that much to hunt these things? Then In the wrong business (fishing), I should just charter hunts and I could make a lot more.

Check these boys out.  They are the go to authority on taking the Nigra V pacific Eider and the King Eider in Alaska.  They have lots of hunts posted over on duckhunter.net.  It's spendy and dangerous but these guys get it done!

one of the nastiest birds I've ever had the displeasure of skinning out.
I would never eat one.  :puke:
