what about cabela's brand muzzleloader?I ve been eyeing there sporterized hawkin with the plain walnut stock and no brass hardware anyone have an opinion on these rfiles?

From what I've read, Cabela's gets their Hawken muzzleloaders from an Italian manufacturer called Investarm.  Investarm also makes the Lyman brand, which is pretty well known for production traditional muzzleloaders.  I wouldn't worry about it one bit as long as you follow the powder limits.  I shoot a Lyman.

I've had an Winchester X-150 for 5 years. Same as the CVA mentioned. Made in Spain. Ran probably 700 rounds through it and no problems. Never did much with the 150 grain charges.... too inaccurate for me. Really want the Savage next though....  :)

x2 mad-bomber took the words out of my mouth,
and Austin & Halleck  has been shut down for like 5+ years so it shows how old the articles is.

Yeah, A&H and Knight are both out of business now.  It is a shame, as they both produced quality rifles.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.
