Anyone run hounds for coons?
« on: December 03, 2009, 07:10:16 PM »
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question or not but i have always wanted to go hunting with hounds and i was talking to my grandpa and he said hunting coons with hounds is really fun. Is there anyone around the bonney lake area that would be willing to take me on a hunt and show me the ropes of hound hunting?  I have hunted over dogs before.  We hunt upland birds all the time with our pointing lab and i just got a pup that i am training up for upland birds.

Thanks
Nate

I sold my dogs this year, but if you'd like I can send you to some houndsmen's website and I know for sure there are a couple of guys on your side of the state who would take you out.

Here is one site, scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the link for the WA State Houndsmen.
