Woke my buddy up this morning to head out on the bay. we went out and killed 5 mallards right off the bat. then he takes a shot at a duck. and i walked over and picked it up. he didnt even know what it was.I informed him he shot a eurasian widgeon.
(i gotta get quicker) and its waiting to get mounted now. we switched spots after that and knocked down a couple teal before calling it a day. Icy days arent so bad. cant wait for geese tomorrow though.

Last year I missed a decoying widgeon. My buddy's boy dropped it after my miss. I walked over and picked it up and it also was a european,
I've been wanting to shoot one for the longest time.
