Okay, so I've got a family obligation today, so no hunting, but I do have Monday and Tuesday off from work .  Tuesday is the end of 'any buck' in 460.  Also, it's the end of 'any elk' in 454.  BTW, first time archery hunter, here.  I have a friend in 460 that will let me hunt on his private properly.  He's spotted various bucks coming through, but of recent they have not been as consistent as they were in the early season.  I'd probably go tree stand for this option.

The other option I was considering was heading out east of Ravensdale and cow/calf call for elk.  I kinda know some areas based on word-of-mouth, but have yet to spot anything when I've went.

So, with two days left for 460/any buck and 454/any elk, what would you do?

I would go for the more sure thing..Your buddy can help put you on deer. Then use the off season to stydy your elk area better..
