Personally, I dont care for heart, but my dad freaking loves it. For me part of the reason is the texture, taste and the mental part of it. I tried some of it this morning and it was VERY gamie tasting so it didnt really help my reasoning but my dad loved it and ate all of it.
Tonight I'm gonna make me my own deer dinner out of backstrap and canned up cauliflower mushroom.

That just made me very hungry!

Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

From the sound of it, I must be the only person who doesnt care for deer heart. I'm a big fan of jerky so I'm wondering if anyone has tried to make it into jerky and if it was any good. I would assume it would taste awesome but I've never tried it so thats just a guess.

Whoever was frying that heart up, thumbs up that was golden brown.  Must have good hot horseradish with heart.  Never heard of anyone making jerky out of heart!  That would kinda be like making Jerky out of Backstrap in my opinion  :o

Well ouch nobody helped you with the cooking so I'll tell you the secret..... 8) You need to soak it in milk overnight to get the gamey taist out. Looks like your cooking skills are PPPuurrrrrfict and now I'm hungery too!
remember, it's just another muscle ...so don't over cook it. I add sage , garlic, salt and pepper.  YUM

I cant take credit for cooking that heart, my dad actually cooked it. I never thought of soaking it in milk though, I will have to try that next year for sure.
