started fletching my own arrows when i got my bow (fun, kinda like reloading
) and Ive got it down pretty good other than it looks like a 2 year old put the glue on every time no matter how careful i am i get that white residue all around my vanes. using goat tuff glue with quick spin vanes. i clean um up with alcohol after the fact but its annoying. am i just using to much glue or is this kinda normal?

Try holding the applicator at a steeper angle to the base of the vane, and only put on a thin layer of the glue.

I had the same trouble with goat tuff. I went back to fletch-tite, fletch tite is good for wood, aluminum, and carbon, not as fast drying, 15 min in the jig.
