I had to hang up the pre-owned Thunderstick III (64" longbow; 62# at 28") that I'd enjoyed for about ten years. So this past season was my first with a pre-owned Ron Fox (founder of Fox Archery) 66" longbow; 65# at 28".
I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. I've been doing a little bow hunting off and on the last couple of years. I shoot a Martin cougar. Anyone have any opinions on it? I really have nothing to compare it to, since its actually the only bow I've ever shot. I think it shoots good, never killed anything with it though. Got it from a friend for a pretty good price ( I think ).

Martin Cheetah . Ill proobably never deal with anyone but martin . My cheetah got dry fired last hunting season and shattered  one of the limbs and bent the cam . I took it to a local bow shop thinking I would be paying alot of money to get fixed or end up buying new bow, oh yeah i'm the second owner of this bow which was purchased on ebay and didn't come with warranty .The bow shop called martin and they said that they would honor the warranty and replace both limbs ,cams ,string and axles I wasvery surprised and relieved.Kinda dissapointed the bow shop employee he wanted to sell me a new bow and just about did until Martin called back with the good news.

If you would have had a Hoyt the limbs would have been fine.  :chuckle:
