Forbes article on elk hunting
« on: January 05, 2010, 04:12:06 PM »
A big surprise to see a pretty good article by Rebecca Ruiz in the new Forbes magazine (1/18/2010 issue) about a female elk hunter named Kirstie Pike and her hunt for bull elk in Colorado. No negative words or connotations and all in all positive in a somewhat elementary fashion designed to explain what she is doing on her hunt to a novice or non-hunter.

Also, good color photos of her and a mature 6 point. Just never thought I'd see a hunting article in Forbes, especially one that is positive and focused on an attractive female who loves to hunt elk.

To view the article go to www.forbes.com and under the Life section/search type in "The Thrill of the Chase", which is the name of the article.

The author got ripped in the comments for lack of technical research. Ouch! And a few word choice issues I tend to agree with. Any publicity, is good publicity. Right?  :chuckle:

 ;) Nice find, Legacy.
I have my own theory that our time will come sooner than you think... People are getting tired of those HSUS and such ideologies that make no sense in general. Environment and hunting go hand in hand, just a question of understanding and interpretation...
The quality of this article is indeed the fact that it is written in naive, yet curious way... This is a good publicity in my book.
