I rattled in my very first whitetail....nothing big but fun
« on: January 06, 2010, 04:39:53 PM »
decided to try my hand at rattles early last month about the first of december. This buck came in after just several minutes of rattling and a few grunts. he was about four hundred yards when i first spotted him coming, and I didn't call or rattle while he was on the move.

that last picture he was really paying attention to me, i thought he may have winded me, or heard to much clicking and whirring from the camera.... anyways he walked off into a draw in the sage, I waited a moment and hit the rattles briefly grunted once. and he came in at me got within about 25 yards or closer.
