I tried. Could not muster anything nice to say about em.

Buy as nice as you can afford, plus two hundred more. Three years later you never regret it.

Buy crap that you can afford, or a little less, and you will want to sell it and upgrade later.

This formula works best on firearms.

Fine.

They are built to last, have the fit and finish of a German piece, and you will be proud to own it.

I stand behind mine, when a man or woman goes out to the gun shop and buys a S&W 59 or MANY other makes and models, they too are made with the same metals the heritage are made from, Anodised aluminum.

We are only talking about a little .22 here. so how can one go wrong? i dont get it.
I will meet anyone at the range here in Kent and any one of you can buy a box of ammo either MAG or LR and let you go to town with it.
They are nice little pistols at a decent price.
Same quality as my inlaws Double9 Ruger, mines just a single action.

I can understand if its a rohm Gruen (RG) 22 revolver or a Jennings .22 auto.
This is a nice comfortable revolver and they are reliable like any other quality firearm.
Just take care of the nice High Dollar pistols in your safe where they usually stay 24/7 and play with the Heritage like they were meant to be played with.

this isn't heritage arms but my cheap kid sized 410 single shot is a great little gun might not be the best brand or most expensive but it is sure fun....

I am wanting a 22 pistol but the one I really want is way out of my budget....so I am keeping my eyes open for something that might work for now....that is cheap....

My dad has the heritage that can shoot .22 LR or MAG.  It's a fun little gun, but I've never been able to shoot it very accurately.  He also has a Ruger semi-auto that is very accurate for me (with very little pistol experience) using the fiber-optic sight.  I think the Ruger was 1-200 bucks more but the accuracy issue is huge for me.  I'm sure with practice I'd be just as good with the Heritage (I totally blame myself for the inaccuracy mind you), but it lacks the 'out of the box' confidence I had with the Ruger.  It is cool with the Heritage to be able to plink for cheap with the LR and switch to the Mag when you need a little more punch.

Colt Frontier Scout. With the 22 and the 22 mag cylinders.

Pay more upfront. Shoot. Clean. Repeat. Never loose a nickel in value. Might even make a buck.

Half the fun is hunting for them, and having cool piece your buddies don't.

Heritage rough riders hit right ABOVE the front sight where you aim it.
Keep that in mind when you aim and you will notice a Huge difference in accuracy.
Mine shoots straight and right above the front sight.

I've got Heritage arms rough rider, it's a truck gun, been in the truck since I bought it 12-13 years ago.  Will occasionally not fire a round, (maybe once out of 3 cylinders)recock hammer and shoot again.  I think I paid $119 for mine back then.  When I bought it, a buddy who's a pilice officer here in Spokane had just gotten a Ruger single six back from the smith after some trigger work.  The rough rider was more accurate fpr both of us, and he was not happy.  I killed 2-3 grouse with it this fall.  If you like it buy it.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Never seen an aluminum Heritage Rough Rider.
Anyways I've always had good times with mine.  It shoots consistantly.  Just have to learn the sight placement.  Mine shoots slightly left but it always has.  I just compenstate and am consistant with shot placement.  Havn't had any problems with it yet.  Great gun at $120.00.

There you have it, fine POS they are. Some hit low, some to the left, others won't fire when supposed to!! Add another bill, get a Ruger single six that you can hand down to your grankids..... Later

............consistently something wrong with em.

If it sounds too cheap for a firearm, it is probably too expensive for being a paperweight.

Do yourself a fava.........take the $$ you would have spent on it, perhaps save another $200, and buy something you will really dig. So many options you would rather like in the long run.

Used guns of 1050-1980 vintage, on average, kill the offerings presented to us today.

Very few cheap guns actually impress.

I have one, like it for what it is, have not had any problems with misifires and have owned/shot it for a long time, could be the really cheap ammo some people are using or not cleaning?
I will say for 198 i would pass, dont think they are worth that.
I paid 99 new with both cylinders (so i guess if they are 198 now they do go up in value).
As far as accuracy they can be fine out of the box or need some tweaking, no big deal. I have had Rugers not shoot straight out of the box for either.
If you look hard enough and find one for under 150 thenget it, if not spend the extra 100 and get a Ruger.

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

I really like keeping this on a positive note.......... I had one for a while, with both cylinder's, I am positive that it was a piece of crap in 22 or 22 mag. I believe there was an alignment issue because it would pepper your hand with lead every shot and was just like lightning.... never hit the same spot twice so I traded it off at a pawn shop.
