I personally haven't been out in over a month but has this unseasonably warm weather slowed the yote hungting down at all?

It has for me, with the exception of the two days of snow we had here, it's been pretty slow.

I think it has, combined with mating season it's tough calling them in now.

like big 10 said mating season is always allot slower for us anyways they go from food to sex mode. give it a few weeks and they will get more Territorial and respond to howls and challenges better.

I figured this weird weather would slow things down.

It's totally screwed up my season. Actually thinking about hanging it up for the season. May get out a few more times but hunting yotes in this weather sucks.

Raining here this am, think I'll drink coffee laced with Hazelnut liquor the rest of the morning. This year I really think the coyote population is down for some reason in Central Wa, have had other guys say the same thing that are doing ADC work. Not the usual amount of tracks/sign, the dogs we have got the coats were very poor, only 3 so far this year were worth keeping out of 47.

this is a very bad year for rabbits here where I hunt, the warm weather, and that I believe has a good deal to do with it..the bears are sleeping though,I thought as warm as its been I would come across sign...april 15th seems to be when I start seeing bear sign..

Yesterday when I was in Eastern WA it was nice and warm. That is, once I got out of the rain and across the Columbia, the temp in the truck showed that it was forty-eight degrees. The whole day was almost like an early season hunt except for the wet ground. On the way home it cooled down some, but from Elk Heights all the way to the top of Snoqualmie it was thirty-six degrees and raining.

I'm going to laid up the rest of the season so after hearing what I figured I already knew I don't feel quite so bad.  Makes me that much more thankful for the ones I put to sleep earlier this fall.  Still wish I could atleast get out though.  Bad yote hunting weather and all.  :(

I agree. I think the mange got them My main hunting spot has only produced two for me. Seen a few other but not like normal. Went out friday and called one in that busted me. The wind was howling and he left at full speed. Took a couple long running shots but missed. He was real mangy like the first one I shot this year. NASTY!!

There's definately coyotes out there but just not like normal. The weather right now just sucks. I'm really pissed about this.

I finally have time to go out this year and can't seem to find them.  I have seen a few and have whacked 4 (although two were out my living room window at night so they don't really count) but there just hasn't been much sign either.  The numbersre really down due to something.

im very disappointed so far with the coyote hunting. i had high hopes after last year but this weather has been killing me. so far Ive managed to call one in that i saw and didn't get a shot and Ive been busted a hand full of times after calling much longer than i usually would and getting busted moving after i was "sure" nothing was there. I'm hoping for a cold snap soon, if so work will suffer  ;)

StrutNrut1984 spooked a Bear last week up north here.. 30yds, came out of the brush, snarled and went the other way. (said it scared the piss out of him!  :chuckle:) It's been so damn mild, I don't the bears are sleeping much.

I have been scouting my area lately and it seems the ones that run around my small town either aren't as active or just aren't howling. The scat and tracks in the area also seem lower then I remember.

I notice someone mentioned rabbits, rabbits are extremely low in my area too. A few friends have been letting me know when the dogs in there area howl at night and its almost between 12-2:30am. Think its because its colder out?
