I just went and picked up my new t/c muzzy in camo. here are a few cell pics.

$379.99 + tax = $435.33 at sportco they price matched wholesale sports because they were $40.00 more than wholesale sports . they have a lay a way at sportco that's why i got  it from them . when i was in there earlyer today they still had the SS/black model.

make sure you keep us updated on what it shoots best, have you thought about what you are going to try for a bullet yet. most of the reviews i have read say they like the t/c maxi hunters very well. if they would shoot sabots better and had a faster twist to do so and could use musket caps i would own one as well keep us updated.

this is the manual that i found from t/c is this a diffrent gun than yours? i thought it was this one.

T/C NORTHWEST EXPLORER
WARNING: DO NOT PRIME THE FIREARM UNTIL YOU
ARE ACTUALLY READY TO FIRE AND YOU HAVE
DOUBLE CHECKED TO ENSURE THAT THE RAMROD
HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE BORE. THOMPSON/
CENTER DOES NOT RECOMMEND PRIMING THE
FIREARM UNTIL THE INSTANT BEFORE FIRING. CARRYING
A CHARGED, PRIMED T/C NORTHWEST EXPLORER CAN
BE DANGEROUS. ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE IS A CONSTANT
HAZARD WHICH, IF IT OCCURS, CAN CAUSE INJURY
AND/OR DEATH TO THE SHOOTER OR BYSTANDERS
AND DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. THE ONLY SAFE WAY TO
GUARD AGAINST AN ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE IS TO
CARRY YOUR T/C NORTHWEST EXPLORER UNPRIMED,
WITH THE HAMMER IN THE "AT REST" POSITION AND THE
MUZZLE POINTED DOWNRANGE AWAY FROM YOURSELF,

If you have followed the preceding instructions in this manual,
your firearm will now be charged with Black Powder or an
approved Black Powder substitute such as Pyrodex® and a projectile
will be firmly seated against the powder charge. The ramrod
will be returned to the thimbles under the barrel and your
ramrod will be marked to the exact seating depth of the
powder/projectile combination that you are using - allowing you
to ensure that each future projectile is also seated to the same
depth in the bore.

percussion cap for ignition.++++
With the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, open the action by
pivoting the trigger guard down and forward.

when i talked to the factory they said you could not use musket caps in the gun above or it would ruin it and void the warranty

Well this is a different gun than the one we were talking about before, I think. I don't remember a "Omega" Northwest. If it truly is an Omega, then it would make sense that it would have the same barrel as the original Omega, which has a 1 in 28 twist. But I don't know about musket caps, the Omega is make for 209's. It's too bad T/C doesn't have some info on their website about these "northwest" editions. I think maybe tomorrow I will have to go to Wholesale Sports and take a look at it.

isn't a #11 percussion or musket cap the same thing or am i missing something they had some of the same guns at wholesale sports on sale beacause they had the 1in48 twist and couldnt sell them they were like a hundred bucks less than the others .

they are 2 diffrent things the number 11 is about 1/3 the size of the musket caps and about 1/3 as hot as well they use 2 diffrent nipples as well and with more power "pop"it can damage the gun from whati was told by one of there gun makers it might be 1:28 now i am not sure from what i am reading

You might want to look at one of each and ask yourself.  (definitely not the same)

I might have to go buy the one they have at a reduced price... the 1 in 48 twist doesn't bother me.

they had some of the same guns at wholesale sports on sale beacause they had the 1in48 twist and couldnt sell them they were like a hundred bucks less than the others . but this one i made sure it had the faster twist before i bought it.

well than they must have put one out with a 1:28 twist,you said the others that were on sale were the same just with a slower rate of twist his is weird for sure wish dam t/c would put this crap on there web site   they think we are podunks or somthingand don't feel they need to do a write up for us northwest guys i guess i was pissed when they stoped making a gun that was legal here so i bought a cva still use my black diamond xr but the cva shoots better for me.

i would call t/c to make sure that you can use a musket cap and put a musket cap nipple on that gun i would not want to see you get hurt from somthing goin wrong.
