A fresh BT shed

sorry, it's only a spike but a true needle in the haystack!  Just looked down during a hike today and saw it.  I have this buck on a trailcam photo but I'll have to dig for it.  I only saw one spike in the area and this appears to be the same one.

Nice find. I have only ever found two spike sheds. Pretty hard in the thick stuff on the westside.

I hear ya there.  I've found a few mulie spikes and probably a dozen elk (including 4 Roosevelt spikes in one day while turkey hunting) but this is my first ever blacktail spike.

what else are you up to out there with the rubber gloves    seriously tho good eyes on that one, I'm getting the itch to find some antlers now

   I always wear nitrile gloves when handling my trailcams.  Too many bear issues    Plus, I beat brush a lot when I'm shed hunting/scouting so I like to protect my hands a bit.
