Is it the one with both stocks (Youth and Fullsize) if so i'd get it.. The they are good guns, and very nice for a first gun and if you are getting both stocks then it worth it.. :twocents:

it's a good price for a great shooter. you can usually buy them synthetic stock and blued without a scope for $399. if you're getting a scope and an extra stock i'd be all over it.

Good rifle but usually the scopes that come with those package deals aren't worth having. Just as long as you know you will probably have to replace the scope at some point.

My nephew has a Vangaurd and it shoots great. You should be very happy with that rifle.

A lot of the Vanguard packages come with a Nikko Stirling scope, if it does you most likely will not have to replace it, they are nice scopes, depending on the line. I had one and regret selling it.
Never, ever let Creed hold you baby, it will ruin it and you will have to get another.

Love the vanguard. That package should have a bushnell 3-9x40 on it which isnt that bad of a scope. The msrp is around $700 if its the packed with the scope and gun case.

The Howa's have the nikko scope

Well said madmac76, I don't like the Tika's either. That said, there is sure a bunch of good folks that swear by Tika.
