Snohomish County Bear Hunting Buddy Needed
« on: February 01, 2010, 10:23:02 AM »
Hello all, I am new to the forum but very excited to have found it. I live in Lake Stevens and am looking for a hunting buddy to target fall bear within driving distance of Lake Stevens. I have a mule deer hunt booked for my father in eastern washington and would like to do a little bear hunting on Sundays this fall. I have pretty much no bear hunting experience but make a decent woodsman and love the hunt. I shoot a .270 and believe in fair chase and still think ethics are a must. So, if you know some areas and need some company I'm your man.

Thanks for reading
Devin

Hey Devin/h20hunter,

Welcome to the site. I am sure as time passes and you contribute to the site, you will find a good hunting partner on here. Luckily, bear season doesnt start for a few more months, so there's still time.  ;)

Good luck and welcome again.

I always carry a knife and fork with me when I'm in the woods -- just in case my partner doesn't show up when I need him.  A set of cutlery and a sterno stove, and you got it made.   :chuckle:

Seriously... a good hunting partner is hard to come by.  Hope you find one by the time the huckleberries get ripe.

Good luck!

Hey Devin,

I am in the same boat as you!  I just moved to Western WA and am looking to get into Bear hunting (Deer and Elk too) but have no Idea where to start really!  Well if nothing else might end up trying to get together with another New Guy and run around the woods looking for bears this fall!  I'll keep looking back from time to time to see what you find or let you know what I find!

If i dont end up getting a job that takes me out of the states, I am up for it.  I have a couple areas where I know they are but I just havent been able to get eyes on them yet.
Worst hunter in Western Wa.
