I think I've seen this on the net somewhere before and it was actually not from a fight but an actual third horn growing from that point.  Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I've seen this before.

I think your thinking of a different pic.  Look at the end of the horn def ripped out of the head of another buck.

I can see how it looks that way, but if there is red blood on the end of the horn, how come there is no red blood from the eye area?  Like I said, I could be wrong, but I don't think so.  I think what your seeing is unshed velvet.

Correct. It is an extra antler and the "blood" is velvet. I have a pic of the cleaned skull somewhere.

Michelle posted them a year or so ago.

I don't remember ever posting those pic's on any site.

Though I know they have been posted on here atleast 3 times before because I remember posting in each one that the horn coming out from the eye is NOT from fighting.  BTKR even posted close up's.

It is a 3rd antler growing out from the eye.

I repeat it is NOT from a fight.  :bash:

Some one zoom in on the bloody spot on the so called base of the 3rd antler.  It is velvet that hasn't been rubbed off yet.

Yes, I did blow up a close up, but I could have sworn that you posted the cleaned skull pic.

I can't find the cleaned skull plate photo but here is a link to a thread about it from 2007. It has much larger photos and you can tell that there is no damage near the eye. Obviously growing from it.

I'll be damned, I stand corrected!  that close up shot really shows it.  That had to be a hell of a headache with that growing in your noogin.

Here's a link to a page with it. http://www.buckmanager.com/2007/12/07/big-kansas-buck-has-third-antler-in-the-eye/
I think it brings the term "non-typical" to a whole new level.  Unreal
