I noticed it right away when I got my reminder in the mail. Honestly I don't mind paying the five bucks, and on the notice I received for my tabs it explained that it was a donation that you can opt out of. I am sure that they are hoping for a lot of people to not notice and just pay it, but the information is there if you bother to look at your reminder.
Just think of it this way- it's way better than being asked for the presidential campaign fund donation.

I let them process my registration,then told them I don't want to donate,She got pissed and said why didn't you tell me before?I said why didn't you tell me ,they try the same with the RTA or what ever that is even though I don't live in the taxed area

Oops I just farted out 5 bucks, I dont mind a donation but just 5 bucks per resident. Not 5 for each rig.

I can't believe they would just add a voluntary donation in without asking.. I have a real problem with that kind of thing. I think this is a perfect example of there lack of respect for the citizens.

No kidding, me too. I just informed some friends that just renewed and they had no idea, and are seriously pissed about it now. The type of people that would support it normally anyway but feel cheated now.
