No,  you are right. I posted a thread about it in the elk forum last night:

http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,44657.0.html

I have spent the last few hours going over the praposal and they are cutting down on the coe permits a lot.

Umtanumand manashtash both droped from 250 to 100 cow permits for MF.
little nachese droped from 150 to 75 cow permits MF
Nile 30 to 10 cow permits MF, etc.........

Seem that teh cow permits are cut in half for MF.

Making Bumping and Nile in to Spike only and opening Little Naches to spike and cow  :yike: for archery.

Yes from the sounds of it, Little Naches is going to get most of the pressure this year from the archery hunters.

I would agre with that, I know i will be there now  :archery_smiley:

With Bumping and Nile being spike only, who would hunt there  :dunno:

I bet it will push more elk in to those area though.

I would be willing to bet they cut some goat and sheep tags off that proposal.

Did anyone notice that the Weneha sheep tag is gone but they added Swakane in?

Bob,

Have you read the document I posted?  I just found it on the web.  It was posted on Feb 3, 2010 it looks like. I didn't see it in the other threads.

It's been posted in a few places: http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,44561.0.html

I left my copy at work, but I think goat sheep and moose looked about the same as last years  (I know moose was for sure).

I see that they are proposing that West Klickitat and Wind River be a draw for cow tags instead of the any elk that these units have been years..These units are very popular for the meat hunters.  I support going to a draw for cow tags in these units.
