My Dad has a Broom handle Mauser serial#1700 all matching with case.What is the value of this gun.

it is likely worth what somebody's willing to pay for it....look it up on gunbroker.com and see what they are selling for. there's a search there.

Some more details and pics would help. Like, caliber, barrel length, manufacturer, year produced, other stamped markings, grips, etc.
