Decent 4 point sheds...
« on: February 16, 2010, 12:14:46 AM »
More of a story than anything.  Took the GF to a new spot on sunday for a Vday shed hunt (my idea of course)...   :chuckle:

Hiked around for a few hours, didn't see any shed bucks or any bucks for that matter.  Seen about 30 does a ways off.  Anyways on the way back I send her down a bare ridge and I'll work the bottom of the draw and meet her back on her side.  Well I finally make my way up to her and she says "Hey I found a few!"  I say sweet don't touch 'em! lol

Took an ATL pic for you guys, and one with her holding them...  Funny thing is I snuck up on this buck back in November on thanksgiving break 45 yards from where he drops his horns!!!  Got within 40 yards of him for a few minutes and it was definitely the same buck!
BTW I've been sheddin for a few years here and there and I've NEVER found a set laying right next to eachother!  Of course her first time out she finds 'em laying like this!  We were both pretty stoked!  He's a little crab clawed but his mass is GREAT!  He was a younger buck so hopefully in a year/2 he'll be a SMOKER if he gets some depth to his forks...  wish I had better pics for ya.

BTW she'd kill me for putting up a crappy picture of her, but oh well! lol

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Michael, great find, I mean the girl and the sheds.  You can tell her any picture of a doll in the woods is a great picture.  She's a keeper. ;)
