I just sent off my resume to apply for this job.  I have 0 of the required and or desired experience.  However in my Resume I did advise them of the following on why I would be the best for the job.

"As I have not yet drank from the Kool-Aid of the Al Gore crowd, and believe that there is now outstanding scientific evidence to debunk the Climate Change as being caused by humans I would be the Absolute best choice for this possition.

In todays budget shortages and economic climate, with my scientific view on the climate change and or lack there of, in this position I could and would save the WDFW and the State hundrededs of thousands of dollars if not millions of dollars spent on a non-issue.  I look forward to being able to assist the WDFW in saving these funds so that they can be properly directed to the propogation of game and fish where it so rightly belongs."

You think I will make it to the interview process?

Gotta have fun when you can!

Dear Mr. Shootmoore

We appreciate your interest, as long as you are for wolves and not for hunting, you have the job. Also if you can write letters and tell your friends at W-H, the better your chances will be for the job. Please tell them that we are doing our best, and that the wolves will not effect the big game herds nor will they spread diseases that could result in surgery or possible death. Feel free to also add that many of us in the WDFW are committed totally in all of your hunting. Make sure that all of your friends know that coyotes and vultures kill more livestock and deer than wolves. ABOVE ALL, say very nice things about Defenders of Wildlife, mostly because They are the reason your wildlife is in the shape that it is today. If you could add something about how the wolves have made the weather a bit wetter or dryer that would be just dandy, climate change you know. :chuckle:

Sincerely, WDFandWolves,

I have to say that this job posting encompasses everything that is wrong with WDFW into one job..

"Leading and coordinating efforts to educate WDFW employees, other agencies, the legislature, and the public about the implications and urgent nature of climate change as it relates to the Department's mission"

This really pisses me off.  They complain about not having money to do what they need to do for wildlife yet they are willing to spend 100k+ a year  on a pile of bureaucratic dog sh it that will do nothing to help washington wildlife. This is unbelievable. >:(

The state pulls this stuff all the time! Bobcat has this spot on! They either got fed money that should be spent on WILDLIFE or they gave WDFW another funding cut by hiding another bureaucrat in their dept! The State only looks outside of the box to find "Funding Sources" not solving problems!

Even if they got stimulus money for the position that money will dry up after the first year and then WDFW will be on the hook for the $$$ after that.  This is as bad as it gets as far as Im concerend.  The science behind "climate change" is so full of holes that this should be considered embezzlement by the tax payers....Just terrible.

Come on folks, if we close another fish hatchery or eliminate a few more game wardens from unneccesary areas, we can easily hire this badly need professional and still show that we are reducing our budget at the same time. :bash:

This is just crazy...I hope the WDFW is abolished its rotten from the core.  There might only be 5% of the employees that do anything to help game in this state...the rest is waste.

I can't figure out why so many people still believe in the man made global warming thing when it was recently proven that the scientists who were making these global warming claims were using bad data and cooking the books. :dunno:

Well I don't think the debate with this issue revolves around whether climate change is caused by humans or not. Whatever the cause, it IS happening. Whether they need a specific employee in the WDFW to "manage" this problem, is highly debatable, however.

Actually, there is debate as to whether global warming is even happening at all.  The data they were working with was bogus.

Don't you know, it's not called 'global warming' anymore. It's climate change. And yes, there's no doubt it's happening. Sea level is rising. Kind of hard to deny that. But I don't think there's anything we humans can do about it. Except start moving the cities inland and onto higher ground.

Phil Jones admitted this week that the earth was much warmer in the medieval times than it is today and that without carbon emissions..Why??

They won't produce the raw data that all of the "science" is based on because they threw it away..even though its going to cause the end of mankind...If its that important why not keep it?

Its a hoax the earths tempature ebs and flows and humans have nothing and I mean NOATHING to do with it.

Quote
Jones was interviewed by the BBC on Saturday and made some pretty major concessions, admitting problems with the movement's infamous “hockey stick” graph showing historically high temperatures in recent times. Jones confessed that world temperatures could well have been warmer during the “Medieval Warm Period” of 800-1300 AD than they are today. Jones also admitted he'd detected no statistically significant global warming since 1995.

I can't figure out why so many people still believe in the man made global warming thing when it was recently proven that the scientists who were making these global warming claims were using bad data and cooking the books. :dunno:

Because its not about science anymore, it is about  control and money.  Just look at the history of the pollution, global warming and now climate change.  They keep adjusting it over time to fit actual weather.  Remember back in the day they were claiming that greenhouse gases were actually burning a hole in the ozone layer causing global warming.  Well that was incorrect science.  So now they have done a 180 and claim that CO2 is thickening the layer, causing the heat to be trapped in causing global warming.  They also ignore any and all scientific data that disputes there hypothesis.  I call it selective science, where they have a preconceived outcome and adjust what data they use to fit the desired outcome.

They disregard tree ring data (which has been an excepted data for pre data recording for years) because it extends out the charts and does not fit there desired outcome.  They have actually selectively REDUCED the number of temperature recording locations.  Not surprisingly many of the data collection sites that were removed were not fitting into the desired outcome.  They do not accept or take into account Solar activity into there data as it does not fit.  They disregard jet stream data as it does not fit into there desired outcome.  It is selective data to reach a desired outcome.  You will notice that when challenged with conflicting data many of these climate change scientists and spokespersons (IE gore etc) instead of accepting or arguing the data, fall back on the catch fraze that the science is "settled".  They place alarmist labels onto those that do not agree with "their" science and resort to name calling and off hand dismissal of anything that does not fit.

In my personal opinion that in 10 to 15 years if we continue on a cooling phase the same people who are claiming global warming due to greenhouse gasses will be making the push that we are causing an Ice Age due to greenhouse gasses and will be seeking the same money and control doing another 180.

Personally I think they are doing a disservice to a cleaner and greener planet.  Instead of encouragement and positive guidance towards healthier and less polluting energy resources that does not gut the US economy they are trying to use scare tactics and swing a 40 pound sledge.  The old saying that you catch more bees with honey should be tattooed on there palm as a reminder.

Bobcat - there is actually a local higher education researcher from Western WA University that came up with his own data that says that we actually go through 20-30 year cycles of warming and then cooling.  He shows us as currently going through a cooling cycle at the present, which started in 1997, which was the peak of global high temperature.  12 1/2 years into a global cooling cycle that will continue.

I am not saying it is the catch all / end all research, but it is obvious that there is more than one theory out there and only the climate change (higher temps) is getting publicity.

My belief is that this position is directed from the governor's office as most departments were to have climate change beaurcrats to report back to the governor's office as to help the governor achieve her cap and trade goals and be recognized by President Obama.

I also believe that if we get a Governor elected from a different party that he or she can begin appointing new commission members, and push the wdfw to focus on fish and game and not beauracratic wastes of resources.  30 years + of leadership from the same party and the appointed parties remain the same although they may go from one department to another.  When looking at all of the complaints about WDFW the majority of folks were happier with said department prior to the 30 year reign in the governor's office.  Political climate was different in the late 70's than it is to day both socially and in elected office.  I think there would be a great deal of change in every department with appointed positions changing the atmosphere and direction of each department to follow suit.  One can only hope.
