I used to trap them in Missouri with the conibear 330. They are illegal here right. But much easier to pack than that big box trap. Also caught alot of muskrats in the 110's. I would sell the hides and a friend of my dads would take the beaver carcass to eat. I have never tried it. Never really liked the smell enough to munch on one.

here ya go eric, the other side side of this small channel is the den,he had a perfect trough to set the trap in..A few directional stcks and a dive stick on each end.these are bernies traps,I wish they were 18 high and 20 wide these are 14 x 14 x48 Ive been having problems with the bigger beavers getting in them, but one was a small as you can see and one about 40lbs Im thinking,2000lbs by the time I got back to the rig :chuckle:

Seriously consider joining the NWCOA and getting their Liability Ins.  I would not set a trap on someone's place without it.  Cage or otherwise.
