Remington 710 stock replacement
« on: February 21, 2010, 02:54:56 PM »
Today the mag release latch on my model 710 broke off. It doesn't look like something that can be replaced so i'm thinking i need a new stock. Anyone know where i can get one of these?

You may have to go to Remington to get it.  However, I would google replacement stocks for that model, see what comes up.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

call Remington and ask for a call tag for shipping and have them replace it. I've had really good luck with browning i bought a 20ga upland special from wholesale sports and bumped the bottom of the butt stock and it split so i called them they said send it in . also have had good luck with Ruger i had a blued vaquero that i had left under my bed in it's factory case and it rusted badly and they replaced the bbl, grip frame, cylinder and ejector rod housing. free of charge on both guns . but you do have to ask for the call tag to get free shipping.

Called and spoke with a guy at Remington. Turns out they do have the replacement part even though the website doesn't have a part number for it or a price. costing me $10 including shipping. Downside is it's on back order for a couple weeks. In other good news i learned that the model 770 stock will fit on my action/barrel and comes in a smaller youth model. So i can have both kids in the field with rifles this deer season for <$100. I'm all for buying more rifles but apparently the wife doesn't see the "need".
