FIRST SPRINGER OF THE YEAR!!!
« on: February 23, 2010, 06:56:00 PM »
My wife and i got a stealie yesterday. So me and my dad decided to try it again this evening. Had 4 fish on and landed 2 of them. To our surprise the one was a chrome 15# springer. I have never caught one this early before. Hope it is a sign of a strong run this year.
Sorry I can't say were we were. I was the only boat at the launch the last 2 days and really want to keep it that way. I hope i am not an A-Hole for not saying.

My buddy called me yesterday afternoon. He caught his first springer of the season.  It was 20lbs.  He said he watched 5 other fish caught as well.  It sounds like the run is picking up.  He said shortly after they landed the springer the sea lion decided to hang behind the boat waiting for an easy meal.
Cut em!

Just got the phone with my guide buddy. He went out today with 1 rod. He fished for 2 hrs and got 2 fish in 20 min.

Did they have 1.5 people fishing? The limit is 2 fish per person until March 1st...  :yike:

Nice fish. I was just poking fun because a lot of people don't realize it is a two fish limit right now.
