I have heard you should not use the glossy paper though.

Do a search for worm composting, they have a lot of good info for raising worms.

When I was a kid my dad used to sell nightcrawlers for $1 per dozen. Since we lived a couple miles from Kapowsin Lake we got a lot of business. Used to head down to the old High School in Orting after a big rain at night and collect them. My dad even went as far as making a rod that he hooked up to a power cord run off his Honda generator, so he could zap them out of the ground. My dad also used to take cornmeal and mix it in the crawler bins for food.

To clarify, we got a paper shedder for destroying papers we don't want others to get. I only use shedded newspaper for worm composting. I can see where I wasn't real clear on that. I put that in there because someone (Axle I think) posted earlier about shredding NP. Just don't try to put too much through at one time or it jambs up.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

Used coffee grounds work great as a food and trout attractant.
We also used ground eggshells
