Have a T/C Hawken that I've had for 15 years...just bought a Knight Bighorn in time for last fall...and another when i heard they were going under...along with a TK-2000 shottie as well.
The Hawken is blooded...the Bighorns are not. TK-2000 has grouse to its credit.

I have a .54 cal Lyman trade rifle and a CVA hawken that I built from a kit. Both are excellent shooting guns, I do use the Lyman to most.

I'm shooting a Knight Bighorn .50 cal in SS with thumbhole stock that I picked up this year. As to the why asked in the OP, I basically did a lot of research with alot of help from people on this site. I like to buy American when I can and made a decision to get the Bighorn, unfortunately the company is not making them anymore.

Have a Knight Wolverine and a Knight Bighorn 50 cal. both in S.S. with thumbhole stocks. And I shoot a sabot with Hornady XTP 300 grain magnum"s bullets.I can hold a fairly good group with that combination out to 150 yards. And i also went with the Knight because they are American and I like that there capable of shooting three different ignition systems.

I borrowed a Remington early model in line awsome gun if you can find one. Then I decided to quit being a much and bought a TC black Diamond used it for four days last year (no elk) when I got home I noticed rust spots on the barrel. I thought about it and brought that gun back because of the rust after one trip they gave me my money back. plus it had to be the guns fault not mine for the lack of dead elk. My partner shoots a $60 pawn shop old Traditions and I always liked how tough it was so I bought a Traditions Pursuit NW addition ive been shooting it and I love it. One week cow tag cant wait.
