yard visitors
« on: March 14, 2010, 04:41:42 PM »
A few weekends ago I was watching tv and saw a reflection on the screen. I turned around and there was a cow standing there eating our grass. I took a few other pics from different windows of some other elk. Notice that one of them has a collar on her. Pretty cool

They actually were really close. At one point, if my window was open, I could have reached out and smacked one on the rump. Pretty crazy how big they are and it is also nice to see them and just how big an area I have to try and sneak an arrow in...  :chuckle:

haha, my old man and I joke about that all the time. We say we need to stick one in front of the shop so that we can hook up the cable we have mounted in the beams right there and skin it out!  ;)

This herd is pretty used to dogs in the area. We do have one neighbor dog that likes the chase them but even that little mutt has lost his scare factor and they just stand there staring at him. Our chocolate labs wants nothing to do with them. She was actually leaning against our sliding glass door trying to get as far away as possible when they were out in the yard.  :chuckle:
