Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

M_ray     I didn't have it mounted because it means just as much to me were it is as if it were hung in the house. That said I do regret not having it done and will probly have it mounted in the future.

:) That's such a nice blackie and with a bow!!! You know that in the Big Game record book of WA the minumum requirements for Archery Blacktail are 90 inches? You should have it done officially it looks like you'll barley sneak in almost 30 inches over!!!  :chuckle:

I did have it score and it is in the Pope and Young records book. I feel so blessed to have taken such an awsome trophy. I am a meat hunter and I will take the first mature animal I have a chance at, so I never thought I would have a chance at one like this. I won't shot a doe untill the last few days, but I have no problem doing so. I have found a great hunting spot were I have seen several bucks of this quality and bigger. I had a chance at one this year that would have scored better than that one, but he pegged me at 50 yards, and I just didn't practice enough this year to take that long of a shot. So I sat down and watched him walk away.

Very cool! It sounds like we can look forward to some great hunting stories from you as well as seeing your name in the books! I know what you are saying I love the meat too and have a hard time passing any mature animals ... but with that bow they are all trophy's IMO!

Yeah a couple more years and he would have been a real pig. Small frame but alot of character.

Thanks, he is my best.

Not my picture, but the email I got said this was recently taken in eastern Montana. If I only knew exactly where

I grew up hunting antelope around Broadus, MT (SE corner) and have seen bucks like this. I remember the brag boards at Scheels and Big Bear would have big non-typicals from that area. Good genetics.
May the morning silence be broken with the wisp of vanes trailing blades to their mark.
