Hoyt 180 Grip
« on: March 25, 2010, 02:36:48 PM »
Anybody added the 180 grip to their bow? I've got big hands and not that the existing grip is bad, just wondering if there's an improvement with the 180 grip.
Thanks

I could be wrong but I dont think the 180 grip is much different then the old wood grips.  I think its mostley a materail change.  I shoot side hoyts side plates but i have smaller hands.

the 180 grip is different. i have it on my maxxis and it is awsome! i had the wood grip on my vectrix and the 180 is such an improvement over the wood style. the throat on the 180 is much thinner than the wood grip and it feels 1000 times better in your hand. give it a try, i bet you'll switch.

Ok I checked it out again today.  looked at the wood grip from an alphamax 35 and the 180 grip from a maxxis even took my cailipers to them they are the same specs.  Maybe the wood grips got slimed down too.

I just checked the throat area on them when I check.  I do agree that they feel way better than the wood grips
