This bird came on a windy day..barely could hear him gobbling. We set up. My wife out front My son and I sat by a big tree and I hid him from the bird..Mr. Wiggly...Bird strutted all the way in adn my wife could see it I couldn't see it.. It gobbled several times..I purred and he popped over the ridge saw the decoy stuffer and that is all she wrote..he strutted into 30 yards and my wife put the hammer down..AWESOME! It was cool having my wife and son there..No Feeling like it in the world..them both enjoying what I enjoy! I am a happy man!

Took my wifes friend from work out..she had never been turkey hunting..We called in a hen and then went back to where my wife got her bird yesterday..My 8 year old son whips out his box call and immediately gets a gobble..it was awesome!
We then set up on him almost at the same tree. I start calling the bird comes around a knoll and she can't get a shot..I watched him come behind my wife and son and stick his neck out looking. He goes behind some brush..I instruct my wifes friend who was shaking to bring her gun around..she does and the bird goes away..gobbling ..I get him to gobble one more time that was it..It was as fun as shooting one..She couldn't believe how exciting it was..The good news is I know he is still there..LOL. You win some and lose some but the experience is worth all the money in the world..my son sure is proud as am I.

Ya way cool Yelp....Taken the Mrs. out this weekend, and Turkey Dancer and I will take my then nine year old daughter out this fall. I may run a blind out during Memorial day and get my Five year old Boy out there.....It is truly awesome when your family shares that insane passion we do toward those birds....while probably not quite as over the top as we get but they do get it...don't they

Thanks guys..I took two friends out yesterday for an afternoon hunt..we called in two toms, a jake and a longbeard..they had a hen with them..the tom came to about 45 yards gobbling his head off and the damn jake hung back with the hen which I believe made that gobbler jealous so he turned and went after them..damn hens getcha every time. We may be going out Sunday..my wifes girlfriend is hooked and wants a second chance..we'll see. Its been a very fun and memorable season. Good to get out with friends and family for sure.
