Charter boats out of Ilwaco?
« on: April 01, 2010, 09:49:08 AM »
So one of the guy's here at work was asking me if I had ever been on a charter boat out of Ilwaco. I haven't but I told him I would look into a few for him. Does anyone have any recomendation's? He's not sure if he want's to go bottom fishing or salmon fishing. Also what would be the best time to go? Thanks

Ilwaco is one of my favorite places on Earth! Seabreeze charters and Coho chartes are great. I have fished mostly on the Four Seasons in the Seabreeze fleet and always done well. I have fished on the Sea Venture in the Coho charter fleet and always had a great time! I can say, these guys know how to catch fish. I have fished salmon as many times as I fished sturgeon, and had many great times.

I went once sturgeon fishing for my bachelor's party.  I don't remember that much but we did have a hell of a time!

I fished with Seabreeze once, and was not impresed.

We rented the whole boat for our boy scout troop and caught 5 salmon on the whole boat  :bash:

Our captain was not to personal with anuone and i do not feel he put in much effort to get us on to fish.

I will not use themn again/

Book a trip with Coho Charters. Request a trip on the Coho Mooch with Justin as your skipper. He is the best. You will not be disappointed.

as I have never ever gone away with my limit that I cought

Sorry, kinda butcherd that......What I wanted to say is.... I have heard stories of folks taking home a limit of fish, some fish that they did not catch, as boats will keep everyone fishing till the boat is limited. Every time I have gone out, I have taken home only fish that I have caught, that goes for family too.

Thanks guys. I will pass on the info. If anyone else has any recommendations let me know. Sounds like he wants to go for salmon, and he has a buddy that he can stay with down there so he won't have to pay for lodging.

Cool, having friends in town makes a trip a little cheaper! I usually stay in a hotel on the north end of town.
