Might have been a good day today. No rain after about a week. They are going crazy tonight! I canhear them just below my house.

They are thick around here at night but every time I want to go out my neighbor is logging or burning in the back 100. They have been pretty scarce during the day. Michelle, still working on those coons and coyote for ya. This weather even has the coons holed up.

I screwed the "pooch" this morning. Ended up scaring one away really good. Fastest dog I have ever seen, running on snow in the CF.
Maybe give him a couple of weeks to settle down and try him again...

I called one up yesterday morning but couldnt get him to come as close as I wanted him. I over estimated the distance and shot right over his back. Too bad, he was a big old male with a pretty reddish coat. I know where he lives and will try him again next weekend with a different call.
