i have a 454 cas raging bull the 8 3/8 with a burris scope on it. i hand load all my loads for it, it really likes the barnes bullets but they are a bit spendy at 1.00 each but normally i shoot the 250 horn xtp. i have shot a few animals with it. a badger, 2 yotes it was pretty devastating :chuckle: i have shot one deer with it and it worked very well i would say it was like shooting one with a 30-30 in and out threw the lungs 85 yards about 30 yards and was bleed out and done for very good cal one of my faves and is a power horse no problem to 100yards. hope this helps ya.

410 shot shell are not for the 454 you can not do that safe the cylinder will lock up on it when the shell is fired and will void you warrenty as well it shoot 45lc and 454 cas only! that is why the judge has the long cylinder to handle the lenght of the 410 shells only the judge and 45 bonds and other derringer can do this and a very few others
