This is what the regs say on the Wenatchee River:

CLOSED WATERS - from Hwy. 2 Bridge at Leavenworth to Lake Wenatchee (including Lake Jolanda).
WHITEFISH Dec. 1-Mar. 31 No min. size. Daily limit 15 WHITEFISH only. Whitefish gear rules.

You're in Wenatchee and can't find any place to hunt or fish?

:yeah:    :o    :dunno:

I can tell you there are white fish in the Wenatchee River. I caught one near Monitor about 30 years ago.   :chuckle:

If I was over there I'd be spending some time looking for sheds right now, and maybe some coyote hunting.

Also, just FYI, being a college student, it's important to know how to spell "college."  It is not "collage."   ;)

Google whitefish +wenatchee river.  You should come up with some ideas on how to catch them.  Also, just visit some sporting goods stores and ask around.  Whitefish taste pretty good and fight good too.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Hey man, i live in wenatchee town. Some good lakes to try are dusty lake, down quincy way, and theres lots of lakes down there by it, some quality trout in those lakes.

Beehive resevoir up squilchuck rd, again when they stock it, great trout in there, always a great time catchin them buggers. Then lots of little lakes to fish in.
Google maps could help ya find some little lakes, how to get there. Trout hit rooster tails and mostly any spinner bait, powerbait/ worms always work great.
You can walleye fish the columbia down by hydro park, and the summer/ fall run salmons are great anywhere on the upper columbia. right outta town at walla walla pt park, or above rocky reach dam.

Lots of fish to be in the waters.

Hope I helped with some bodies of water to fish, not too familliar with fishing the wenatchee except fly fishing for steelies.

I fish Dusty quite a bit. Any gear using single hook. No bait. I see guys there with spin rods all of the time. Fishing is still good. I pack in the float tube and fly fish; beautiful lake to fish in the Spring

I grew up in Wenatchee and always found stuff to do.  Most of the local lakes haven't opened up yet, not until the last saturday in april.  However, I believe all of the quincy lakes are now open.  The town is surrounded by the Wenatchee national forest.  Go to the forest service office and pick up a map.  Think the office is somewhere out by easy street, not far from where you live at all.  Here at the end of the month head south of town to clear, lilly, or black lake.  Or like someone already mentioned beehive.  All are stocked fairly well with trout.  Or head to the columbia, it's always a good option too.

There is nothing to do in this town but drink, smoke, and have sex.  J/k

For fishing close to town try the Rock Island Ponds.  They plant them with trout every year.  Theres also bass, crappie, bluegill, perch, and some decent sized channel cats in them now.  The Columbia has walleye, trout, cats, squaws, some smallies, salmon, and steelehead.  Check the regs for fishing it as it's pretty regulated.  Beehive is stocked every year as well and has rainbows and I believe some browns.  It can be a pain in the ass up there with all the people, but it's always fun to grab a few out of there.  Lily Lake also gets stocked with trout.

Out of town you can head to the quincy lakes and fish stan coffin, H lake, and Evergreen for bass.  They're easily accessed.  Burke and Quincy lake have rainbows and Tiger trout in them and get stocked every eyar.  If you don't mind a hike the Ancient lakes have trout, bass, and panfish and are pretty fun.  Dusty is a great lake.  We were out there last weekend and caught 5 trout for 3 of us.  2 at 14 released, 2 at 17 and one 19.5" whopper kept.  We were using spinning gear.  Regulations state no bait or egg imitations, single barbless hook, no trebles, artificial lures only.  We are headed back out there this weekend to camp friday-sunday.

Further out of town is Moses Lake and Potholes.  On Moses hitting the I-90 bridge for walleye, perch, and crappie can be good.  We use a boat and slam smallies on the north shore.  I haven't fished potholes but plan to hit it up soon.

Lake Chelan to the north has a TON of fish in it.  Lots of trout and the likes, smallies, burbot, chinooks.  Theres also a bunch of smaller lakes on the north side by manson.  Wapato gets stocked every year.  Most of those lakes Open on the opener for trout, last weekend in April.

OR you can head up above leavenworth and hit fish lake.  Big browns and bows in there.  Boat rentals.  No tackle restrictions.  Great lake to fish.

For sheds take you rig, point it towards a mountain, and drive on up.  The whole town is surrounded by prime deer winter range and sheds shouldnt be hard to find if you put in some leg work.

Turkeys also open up soon :)

I've lived here all my life if ya can't tell :chuckle:

Why not keep going in?  Theres huge bows and rumor has it the next state record Tiger trout was caught and released in there.  We managed 5 in a few hours saturday afternoon.  All quality fish.  We even had a few break our lines.

the wenatchee itself is closed except for whitefish, unless they open it up on  may 1 for spring kings.  theres a ton of fishing and hunting all over town, the icicle up at leavensworth will be open for spring kings hopefully soon

you can shed hunt up on saddle rock, ive heard there are some big ole boys up there, cant hunt up there its all private but its open for hiking and mountain biking

if you got the right rig head up colockum pass area and do some shed hunting for elk

the rock island ponds are good fishing once they get warm, ive been down there a few times now and they are still cold and slow.  the manson lakes are good spots but you have to go on the week days, they are primary boat fishing lakes but there is some bank access, theres good fishing for trout at lake chelan between the bridges or off the dock at mill bay (manson)

turkey season is close and theres turkey up colockum, gotta know where to go though

if you need directions to anywhere or got any questions shoot me a pm,  gotta help a fellow FSU'er not go insane
Steve
