Few deer from today
« on: February 12, 2008, 01:31:09 AM »
Man that one doe must have twins. She is fat. I took these out he window today. I should carry a tripod. The buck posed well, sun was right. He was just a bit too far for clarity. I was really stretching the lense.

Robb92- the mule deer hold on to their head gear here in central washington longer than most places for some reason. Majority still packing. I cant wait for the dropping to begin!!!!!

The one side of his rack sort of looks whitetailish. His ears dont look very big also. :dunno:

I beleive the reason the ears look small is because in the first picture he has them at full alert.  Usually a deer with his ears at full alert are pointed forward.  Taking away the size.  In the second photo the ears are all the way back taking away from the size again.

They look normal tome for a mule deer.

He's a long ways for any whitetail. I will agree that his rack is not a common 4 point but not a drop of whitetail blood in this buck.
