Q: What are Washington hunting and fishing license residency requirements?

A: A person who has maintained a permanent place of abode within this state for a least 90 days immediately preceding the purchase of a license, has established by formal evidence an intent to continue to reside in this state, and who is not licensed to hunt or fish as a resident in another state may purchase a resident license. Only a Washington Driver's License, Identification Card, school identification card, employment card, or an active duty Military Identification Card will be accepted as proof of residency.

Thanks Billy, I could find my Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Arizona rules, and half of my Oregon stuff, but NO Washington stuff here at work.

Thanks guys,

I have already got a Washington Taxidermy License Application sitting in front of me!  ;D

Thats great I only have to be a resident 90 days.  Down here it is 6 months I think.  The hunting Laws and regulations in Washington are a lot more stricked than they are in Georgia and Florida.

This might make a few of you fall over but in Georgia genneral season hunts allow you to take 12 Deer.  You are allowed 10 doe, 1 Buck any size, and 1 Buck 4 points on one side or better.

Alright what is the average weight of your Washington Whitetails.

In Georgia the average Doe is about 100 - 120 lbs.  The average Buck is probably around 175lbs.  We can get some pretty good size bucks down here.  My buddy shot one that would have went close to 300 lbs if it wasn't the end of the rut and the deer wasn't wore down because of it.  His Deer had a 9" eye to nose measurment and fit on a 22" x 24" x 26 1/2" form.

Are you sure......they looked like little dogs when I saw them.  They almost weren't even worthy of touching the brakes for.  :chuckle:

You see alot of proof if you drive the road between Spokane and Colville.  Other than that I think they are migratory.  The big ones come out of the ground about November 15th and go back into the ground about December 1st. :)

LOL...I shot a small one a couple years ago near Omak. I know that we have the little Columbia WT near the coast, but the big boys are in the NE corner.

I drew the multi season tag.  I'll likely spend my free time in September chasing elk, so I'll probably hunt the general rifle around Chiwawa and late archery in Swakane (assuming I still have a tag!).  I will also hunt the AZ desert for archery coues whitetails in January.

 Nice whities Josh.

Michelle, we do get some pretty hog whities up here. We get the Canadian subspecies overlapping in to Wa. (the biggest subspecies  -same as Saskatchewan). The general theory is that the further north you go, the bigger the animal based on the need to put on more weight to survive the winter.
