you only get a new tag in the mail to use to hunt with during the seasons, no seperate permit.

Thanks for the clarification.  I've not seen one and you have.

So what you are saying is that the permit and tag are one?  When you harvest an animal, you attach it?

So then if you had previously purchased a TAG, you would have two.  That appears to be the problem, since you can only tag one animal.

yes that is correct they are one in the same with the multi season tags you only have the tag that works as a permit and a tag all in one and the tag says on it muti season deer 2010 so there is no need for them to give out permits.

as far as the having to tags you are required to send the reg tag that you might have got before you bought back to them or call them and have them void it when you buy the multi tag.

that is also why some like me buy the license but do not designate a tag untill after the draw so i don;t already have a tag that won't be any good and have to send it in or call and void it out.

i think i got you guys lined out now :chuckle: :IBCOOL:

Regardless, you still need to purchase a hunting license, and that can be done either before or after you are drawn for the multi-season permit.

Is that correct?

yes, you have to buy the license regardless. in normal general season tags they are free with you license. then if you draw the multi season tag then you have to pay for that tag to be able to use it during all 3 seasons

Thank you carpsniperg2, some guys on here thought I was crazy.  NO BLAME TO ANYBODY THOUGH!  The WDFW is to blame for the confusion.  Here is what they send to multi-season holders, they ask to send the original mod/archery tags I had for deer and elk back!

It wouldn't be confusing if you read the FAQ's the WDFW has on their website regarding multi-season permits. I'm not sure why you guys are making this out to be so complicated. It isn't.

So they ask you to send back the tag you have which is now invalid. So what?

Is it that hard to put it in an enelope and drop it in a mailbox ???

I got a call today from the wdf saying they are just sending the letters out to the multiseason      license holders with an envelope addresed to the state that you are to put your expired license. They said they would be sent out today or tomorrow.
